Program

Waking the Giant Liberia raises awareness on all 17 SDGs among Church communities and studies the Churches' contributions in particular to Goals 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), 4 (Quality Education), 5 (Gender Equality), 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions). The initiative:

• Engages with Churches and local community members
• Holds stakeholder consultations at the national level
• Conducts surveys to determine the baseline of Churches' contributions to the SDGs
• Mobilizes Churches for strengthening their involvement with implementing specific SDGs
• Builds the capacity of churches and related actors for monitoring Government/country achievements towards SDGs.

Waking the Giant emphasizes strong complementarity with the Government of Liberia, United Nations Partners and ECOWAS in contributing towards the achievement of the UN Agenda 2030.
